Tournaments and our chances for 2013/14 season

The Special One is BACK! The story of Jose Mourinho and Chelsea fans is even better love story than any drama movie in the world. The fans still sing his name since his leaving in 2007. We were hoping him back for about six years, and finally he is home now..
Enough. Let’s talk about the tournaments we will face next season, and our chances to win those tournaments.
UEFA Super Cup

This is Mourinho first real test as Chelsea manager. Chelsea as Europa League 2013/14 winners will play against Bayern München as Champions League 2012/13 winners.
Bayern are current the best team in the world in my opinion. They have twice quality of players we have in starting XI and the bench. Both teams will have to adapt to new tactics since both team will be managed by new managers (Jose Mourinho for Chelsea, and Pep Guardiola of Bayern München).
We need to fix our squad quality and quantity if we want to win this title. We lost against Atletico Madrid last season in the same tournament, and I hope we can win this next season.
Clash of Jose Mourinho v Pep Guardiola will be entertaining too as they were rivals in La Liga. Every football fans in the world will set their eyes for this game!
Premier League
This is our main target for next season, and I personally think we’re the best candidate for this tournament.
Why?
Our toughest competitors for this title are Manchester United and Manchester City. Both clubs will also start the season with new managers. David Moyes for Man United and Manuel Pellegrini (most likely) for the blue Manchester team. We are step ahead of them as their (lack of) experience of Premier League trophy. We have Mourinho who has won the title twice with Chelsea.
Though, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, and Everton can be the dark horse as our competitors. Especially Arsenal, Spurs, and Liverpool, because next season maybe theirs =D
Capital One Cup (League Cup)
I didn’t and won’t take this tournament seriously. I’d rather to see us playing our youth (second team). It’s better for them getting more time on the pitch, no?
Though, I can’t guess what’s inside Mourinho’s head. Who knows he want treble in his first season?
Football Association Cup (FA Cup)
This cup is not first-rate tournament for me but probably worth to try. Premier League and FA Cup double for next season, sounds good. But with the smallest squad among the PL clubs (with our youth players are likely going to be loaned again), rotation is absolutely needed. Benitez did well last season, and I hope Mourinho can do the same or even better.
UEFA Champions League

The unfinished business of Jose Mourinho which brought him back apart from the loves of Chelsea fans.
Let’s be real, our chance to win it next season is almost hopeless. We didn’t even go trough the group qualification last season. I don’t want to take down your hopes to win CL trophy again, but with our current squad, we won’t even reach quarter-final.
Have a look to the competitors..
Bayern München with their incredible squad will keep dominating the European tournament, Barcelona who have reached semifinals in 6 consecutive seasons, Real Madrid with decent players over the roles, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, PSG, and many more..
To be honest, I don’t mind if we end next season with only one trophy or even trophyless. I just want Jose to rebuild the whole team. I know it wouldn’t be easy and he has to do so many work there. if i were Mourinho, I’ll easily put half of our squad in transfer list to rebuild the team with new signings.
But Mourinho seems having different idea with me. He said he’ll work hard to put our team to better level, and won’t spend big cash in the transfer window.

“I have to improve the team. I mean by improve is work, not millions dollar spent” – Jose Mourinho

It’s good if he tries to not hang on Roman’s arse, but we all know Roman Abramovich ^_^ trophyless? #SackedInTheMorning
Every manager will be way too afraid to rebuild the team with the risks of trophies and his career.
However, I believe we can win PL trophy or even the double this season with special manager in our side. He’ll do his best to pay the loves from Chelsea players and fans he get.
Rebuild the team, Jose! and we’re back in business. -Crissandy

  1. so whats your point exactly???? selling half the squad???

  2. I don’t knw why u keep saying these?

  3. Vaibhav Kumble

Sell half the team?!!! This is crisandy’s article isnt it?? Has to say something illogical always..

    • gerrycrissandy17

Compare our players to Bayern München’s..

        i will
        cech>neuer
        iva,terry,cahill,luiz/ake>dante badstueber, boatteng
        azpialaba
        luiz/ake,lamps,rami,mikel<javi,bastian,kroos(we might sign someone here)
mata, moses, oscar, hazard<robben, ribery, gotze, muller(but our attackers are gonna improve next season)
on strikers they're certainly better than us but not because they have better individuals, because they have a better team. they have the same playing style that might never change while we get managers who are exact opposites every year and that's why we're not currently better

      • gerrycrissandy17

Iva, Terry, Luiz/Ake are better than Dante, Badstuber, Boateng? Are you kidding me?
Their strikers are better than us because they are good strikers.

      • Anonymous

@gerrycrissandy17: boateng is absolutely terrible, badsteuber is kinda good but he’s slow and dante is better but he’s not better than iva or cahill or terry(if, only IF he recovers form)
and if i recall correctly, gomez was awful in his first days but bayren took him in and blended him with the squad until he became as good as he is now while torres first was brought in to make an excuse for roman when he fires Carlo if he doesn’t win anything. torres was forced to play a very different style in his first season, then AVB came in and decided he will change the whole team, then RDM changed the tea again, and after we won CL, we changed playing style again and guess what happened afterwards, WE CHANGED OUR STYLE OF PLAY when benitez came. so torres was forced to play in 3 or 4 teams that never complimented his abilities until he lost his desire to play and became the mediocre striker he is now

  4. good write up Crissandy, you don’t pretend like you don’t know the truth. This squad are good but are not winners of big events. What i want the manager do is to load them with work so that they can improve physically, or sign two players with great strength in our MF and also good to create chances, those our boys are not strong mentally and they need someone to help them on that.

    • gerrycrissandy17

yes. our players are not good enough. even half of them. To be honest, we were fucked in both CL final and EL final. Luckily both opposition sides were not clinical to finish their chances

  5. You don’t just rebuild the way you suggested. Selling half the squad is risky and will basically put us back to square one.
How is it that we beat United 3 times and drew 1 out of 5 games? That tells you we have the players and that we just need consistency. Look at where Mourinho went and the success he had. He gives players a winning mentalty and that’s the only trait we have been missing.
Mourinho’s job this transfer window is obvious. Patch the holes. Not sell on a large scale.

    • gerrycrissandy17

Beat United 3 times? 1 on Capital One Cup (United 2nd team), 1 after United won their trophy (also 2nd team), 1 is very great work by the team in FA Cup.
How is it City beat us 3 times and drew 1 in 4 games, with our best team?

  6. The win at Old Trafford was not against a second team.
Listen, you look at City and then you look at Chelsea. Which is the more matured team? I’d say they were pretty much in transition when Mancini took over 3 years ago. In 2011 they won the FA Cup and finished much stronger in the league than in 2010. In 2012 they won the league which means they progressed as a team,a collective unit.
Now Chelsea. It’s pretty obvious. New players, playing style and most importantly,a new era=transition. Now we go into a second year in which Mourinho has a great chance of winning a trophy or two. All he has to do now is bring in players to complete this side as a whole. I’m not saying we’ll be unstoppable. I’m saying we’ll see a better and collective group next season.
Mourinho knows he has top talent. He just needs to build on it. I doubt he’ll break down and rebuild.

    • gerrycrissandy17

did you watch the game? RVP didn’t start, instead Nani, Anderson, and Jones started for them in midfied. 2nd team

    • gerrycrissandy17

And United won PL with far more points tells you more ^_^

  7. Anonymous

TRUE our players ain’t good enough to win it!!

  8. ShawnS'tha

can u please name half the team as u said not good enough for chelsea? all i can think is marko marin right and even torres and ba but that make just three, as benayoun and other are already ready…dumb logic.

    • gerrycrissandy17

Cahill, Luiz, Ivanovic, Bertrand, Lampard, Romeu, Moses, Marin, Torres, Ba. Add Oscar as winger, and Cole is not class anymore. Enough?

  9. Sell half the squad?!?! Loool! this definitely Crissandy’s article. You want mou to rebuild the team? What do u think has bin happening sins that drogba’s penalty (good old memory)? Though (as much as I hate to admit) I agree with u on something– we don’t have the A class quality to challenge for the big prize …”yet”! True, we were bested by benfica, Bayern, city..even Everton gave us a run in the final game of the season. We can’t v that. But our young team is still developing, calling to sell half the team will just disrupt the whole transition process. We really do need to sign quality players to compliment our talented crop of young players. Our goal this transfer window should be signing quality, quantity to compliment our style of play n our team, then identify the youth players that got the balls to challenge for first team football and are of quality. Talent isn’t just enough- ask robinho. this is a very important stage in our transition to be a power house in Europe. We arnt at Bayern level of squad maturity yet, barca wasn’t built in a season. It was a fantastic combination of quality youth players n quality signings that made barca “the best team in the world”.
We are lucky to have a manager n owner that loves us. A genius in mourinho who will instill the winning mentality that will distinct us from others. In my view signing new players is something mou has to do, and yall talking trash that all he do is spend should really think b4 talking. If we were to face Bayern wι†h this squad, I fear we will suffer the same fate as barca.
So girl (Crissandy), selling half the squad is stupid!

    • gerrycrissandy17

You know we will be annihilated by Bayern with this squad, and said selling half the swuad is stupid?
I knew we won’t sell half the squad, that’s just what I want.
Half of our squad are stupid dumbs. I’m still supporting them though.

  10. gerrycrissandy17

We rebuild the team last summer by signing, Oscar, Moses, Marin, Hazard last season (Christensen, Wallace and Thorgan for reverse). Seems only Hazard signing worked well.
I want us to use the money for good players, not become a dumb with money
We have the smallest squad in PL, and half of them are shits. Nightmare

    • so you would get rid of Luiz and Oscar. I am indifferent about the rest but I totally disagree when it comes to those two. How can one not see their potential especially Oscar, for his first season in Uerope nevermind EPL as its known for its physicallity, be real man give credit where it’s due.

      • gerrycrissandy17

He was good in the game against Juventus, I admit that. But since that, he has been poor. I was talking about his performances overall
He is never good winger. Mou has to figure out a role which fits him. Or as Mata’s back up, he’s good
