Jose Mourinho wants more goals from his players

Jose vs Hull]

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said he wants to see more goals from his players in his press-conference yesterday before today’s Premier League game at Stamford Bridge against Aston Villa. Chelsea managed to score 2 goals against Hull City who really didn’t threaten to break the dead lock more often and Chelsea clearly managed to control most of the game. But, we can analyze that the team could have scored more than one goal against a team who just got promoted to the EPL but, after all, it was the 3 precious points at the Bridge that really mattered.
And the Special One, who saw only two goals from his side on his Premier League return made clear his intention to see his players score more goals.

Jose said, “We want to win matches.
“But what I like is that when you have the chance to destroy – to beat them by three, four or five – we have to do it.
“If someone has the chance to do it to you, they will not forgive you. They will give you nothing. If someone feels that they can do it to us, they will do it. So if we have the chance to do it, we have to do it.
“If we do that, we destroy an opponent, we get a much bigger result because going that way you have to score goals, even if the opposing goalkeeper saves a penalty.”

Chelsea raced into a 2-0 lead over promoted Hull after just 25 minutes on Sunday, but failed to convert their dominance into any more goals.
City, in contrast, shot to the top of the Premier League with a devastating display of attacking power that Mourinho admitted will have made rivals sit up and take notice.
But he maintained that the Mancunian Blues are still just one of six teams yet to prove that they can pull away from the chasing pack.

He added: “I watched the game and they were very good. No doubt about it. They bought fantastic players, they have a fantastic squad and they looked very, very good.
“When you look at the players they didn’t have on the pitch, and some were not even on the bench, the squad is amazing. They are a fantastic team and an amazing squad.
“So, yes, they are big contenders. But, for me, I think we start, all six, on zero points.”

The lack of goals against Hull and in the last games of our friendlies in U.S. has been a result of the strikers not fully being integrated and being connected with the 3 attacking midfielders. Of course I am only referring to Fernando Torres in this particular case. Demba Ba and Romelu Lukaku both have really good passing range and can create a great understanding with the attacking midfielders.
But, in the case of Torres, I am not looking to criticize in any way but, he really needs to improve his positioning as to allow players like Oscar and Hazard to assist him and help him score. The Spaniard won’t be doing any favors to him self or his team if he doesn’t get his goals early on before Jose runs out of patience and decides to give Lukaku or Ba even if we don’t sign Rooney or any top striker.
We should hope for more goals against Aston Villa at the Bridge today as the last time we played the last season at home, We destroyed them 8-0 by having 7 different goal scorers and that showed we have many players that can bang in goals this season as well. But, the blues’ should really start scoring many goals and kill the game off way early as to develop our confidence in front goal. Particularly, it would be great to have Torres or any of our strikers to be on the score sheet game by game.
Thanks for reading, Please let us know your opinions about this suggestion from Jose and your solution how we can get more goals out of this team. KTBFFH!!!

Last game we short on goal 25 time for 2 goals. unbelievable !!!!!!!!!

  3. I don’t think Torres can do more than what he is doing presently, is better be sold now or in January window before leading to division in the team.
