Jose Mourinho confident about Chelsea’s recovery in UCL

After a disappointing start to Chelsea’s campaign for the UEFA Champions League last night, The Special One is confident about the 2012 UCL winners that they’ll make a comeback to the competition and make good progress.

The Blues were defeated 1-2 by the Swiss side  FC Basel . Chelsea once again had a one goal lead but surrendered it in the 2nd half.
After the shocking defeat at the Stamford Bridge last night, Jose was quoted saying on the loss that,
“The objective of finishing in the top two in the group phase and to go to the next stage of the Champions League is an objective that is not lost, far from it. It’s an objective we’re going to fight for and it’s an objective that I believe very, very much that we’re going to achieve. We lost three points that we must get somewhere.
“We must get them, (from) Basel or Schalke, or Bucharest, or all of them, or some of them. Normally you have to win the matches at home and get a few points away. Now we must win six points at home, Schalke and Steau, but we have also to win points away. Probably we have to go to win at Basel to compensate for the defeat.”
The Blues now sit on number 3 in the group E with Schalke04 topping the table followed by Basel .
Chelsea will face Steau Bucuresti in a trip to Romania next on the CL fixture on 1st October at Stadionul Ghencea, Bucharest.  Jose will have to make some changes to win.
After last night’s defeat, Jose Mourinho lost 3 games in a row for the first time in his managerial career.
