The Chelsea players took a break from the club fixtures this week, with the final round of World Cup qualifiers taking place. All of them had a good day on field, winning their respective matches.
World Cup Qualifiers
Germany vs Republic Of Ireland
Player Involved: Andre Schuerrle
Schuerrle had a good outing against the minnows, as he scored a goal and put on an impressive overall display, helping Germany to secure a place in World Cup 2014.

Belgium vs Croatia
Players Involved: Kevin de Bruyne, Thibaut Courtois, Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku.
Belgium booked their tickets to Brazil by beating Croatia, thanks to a brace from Romelu Lukaku. All the Boys from Brussels needed were a draw to progress, but the win ensured they topped their group with a match to go. All the Chelsea players played well, with Courtois pulling off some excellent saves towards the end.

England vs Montenegro
Players Involved: Gary Cahill, Frank Lampard
The English team, needing to win both their qualifiers for automatic qualification, played excellent football against Montenegro. Both Cahill & Lampard started the game with the latter being substituted at the hour mark. Ashley Cole did not participate because of a rib injury.
RESULT: 4-1
Malta vs Czech Republic
Player Involved: Petr Cech
Czech Replublic has a difficult route to automatic World Cup berth, requiring not just six points off six, but also for Bulgaria & Denmark to drop theirs. Bulgaria obliged by losing to Armenia, but the Czechs need to win against Bulgaria now and hope in the meanwhile that Malta beats Denmark.
RESULT: 1-4
Spain vs Belarus
Player Involved: Juan Mata
Juan Mata was an unused sub for Vincent del Bosque as the World & Euro champs toiled hard to beat Belarus.
RESULT: 2-1
International Friendlies
South Korea vs Brazil
Players Involved: David Luiz, Oscar, Ramires
Brazil, automatic qualifiers for the World Cup due to their host status, had a tough opponent in South Korea in the international friendly. The side, captained by David Luiz, played emphatically to dispatch South Korea. Oscar, among the three Chelsea players involved, was the most influential, scoring the second goal for the Selecao. Ramires impressed as well in his 45 minutes of action. Luiz had a good game at the back, seeing off quite a few dangerous attacks from the host.

Serbia vs Japan
Player Involved: Branislav Ivanovic
Serbia have already lost out in the race to qualify for the World Cup, but they were impressive as they ran out deserved winners against the Asian Champions.
RESULT: 2-0
John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses and Samuel Eto’o will represent their nations later today as Nigeria plays Ethiopia and Cameroon plays Tunisia.
U-21 & U-19 Squad
The Baby Blues played international fixtures and fared relatively well.
Andreas Christensen played full 90 minutes in Denmark U-21’s 2-2 draw against Slovenia.
Thorgan Hazard was an unused sub in Belgium U-21’s 1-0 win over Northern Ireland.
Ruben Loftus Cheek, who was on bench against Slovenia on Thursday’s 1-1 draw, scored twice as England thumped Andorra by a 7-0 margin. Both Lewis Baker & John swift started, with the latter coming off at 64 minutes. Mitchell Beeney, who started the Solvenia game, was on the bench for this one.
Kyle Scott played a part for the United Stated U-18s as they drew 2-2 against France and beat Czech Republic 1-0 in a four-team international tournament held in Limoges in France.
