Thiabout Courtios , the Chelsea FC Goalkeeper who has been loaned out to Athletico Mardid has cleared his intentions of not coming back to the Stamford Bridge just to warm the bench.
Courtios has been in brilliant form for Atletico since joining them on loan . This is his 3rd successive season with the Madrid side.
In an interview to AS after Belgium qualified for the 2014 World Cup he said,
“I am in my best form and I feel that I am among the five best goalkeepers in the world,”
“I’ve grown a lot at Atletico, especially last season when we won the European Super Cup and the Copa del Rey.
“I’ve made great progress, especially in terms of speed, reflexes and experience. ”
“I want to play, I will not be sitting on the bench. At Atletico I feel great and it allows me to play in the Champions League,” he added.
But when asked about his future plans about coming to his parent club he said, “I want to play, I will not be sitting on the bench”.
Courtios has now only 2 years remaining on his contract after this season gets over . There are concerns regarding his future as a Blue after Barcelona president Sandro Rosell openly showed his interest in the Belgian.
The chances of him signing a new contract gets gets lesser each passing day.

You re coming to Chelsea Fc to replace Cech …….
If we ain’t careful with coutious’ situation we might end up losing him to Baca or any other top teams..I believe is time he took over from Cech cos cech is increasingly becoming error prone these days…

His time is coming, cech are now prone to make mistakes.. He will come and turn up as a legend at chelsea.. I know, he born for ChelseaFC

That is the problem with Chelsea.I have watched this boy progress at Athletico and he is a ‘FINE’keeper.Chelsea will have to bring him back next season and play him and cech simultaneously.This boiy deserves his place in the first team and can never sit on the bench.
Courtios deserves a starting position in Chelsea, bring him back and tie him to a long term contract as our new no1. Cech has served us well but we now have another top goalie.
This is a very dicey one considering we might loose him but that ain’t enough in my opinion to bench Cech even with his errors
