A Review on Our Central Backs – Which Partnership, will Jose Opt to against City?

2,c=0,h=554.bild It’s another good day for all Blue Fans, as Jose Mourinho led his side to a 3-0 win over Shalke 04 in Germany.
Today We Look at Our Defenders Partnership, Talking about Our Central Backs and the favourites to start against Manchester City.
From Games Played, it all looks like John Terry has secured his place in the team and Mourinho has insisted, ” It Was Due To His HardWork”
On The Other Hand, there is David Luiz and Gary Cahill.
As We Look at their recent performance
David Luiz
The Brazil international hasn’t found his best form this season, making errors Here and There, We could recall that during the Cardiff Game, He made a mouth watering error that led to Cardiff’s 1st Goal as Jordan Mutch took his chances and the former Benfica Man, has been accused of Ball Watching, on several occasions. Anyways, not taking anything away from him, he is still one of the best Central Backs in the world.
Lets Now Take a Look at Gary Cahill
Gary Cahill
The England International, have not had enough playing time, for the Blues. But the few chances he has been given, He has proved to be a solid central back. And has sealed his place with The Three Lions.
Against Schalke yesterday, the former Bolton man, had a good game with John Terry and has proved that, he has the fighting spirit in him.
Summary
Not Taking Anything From Them, They are both brilliant centre backs, but with the recent performances, i won’t be suprise if Jose decide to play a Gary Cahill and John Terry partnership against Manchester City and could probably bring on David Luiz later in the game to stop the likes of Aguero and co.

  1. I’ go with a Luiz and Terry partnership against City, Cahill is good but Luiz has to start.

  2. with due respect & admiration luiz is good, but can be prone 2 error.i prefer cahil/terry because any mistake can cost us 3 points.pls start mikel also ahead of lamp 2 limit the marauding toure.up chelsea.

  3. You are right, there is a possibility that Jose may use Cahill and Terry or possibily the back four that played against the german side.

  4. David Luiz still the best choice to partner JT against Man.city. Cahill would have problem with Man city Attackers who are very good on the ball with his style of receding against the opponents

  5. Vaibhav Kumble

Terry might me too slow for Man City Strikers. I think Cahill-Luiz would be a better option hoping that Luiz does not make a silly mistake.

  6. I see Cahill as a defender who play his games wit full confidence and still doing his good mackings and winning of the balls from the opponents. Also, Terry is back in his form. I prefer the both of them, and importantly if there is a way to relate with d right source, we need Mikel in that match instead of Lampard! D guy is improving so much, we need him pls….

luiz terry wouls be solid with mikel in midfeild alongside ramires

  8. I agree with you, looking at their recent performance cahill has been consistence even though he has not been given a playing time as much as david luis. Pairing cahill and terry will make a more solid defense. Still worry of likes of aguero and yaya

  9. Ian: They’re pretty much idianectl, aren’t they?Annabel: Given that they’ve photoshopped the background of the image anyway (changing the shoreline, adding mountains), perhaps they could have put them on a rock while they were at it. By the way, I hope you’ll love the Elizabeth Taylor. She’s brilliant.
