FUN TRIVIA:

  • Mourinho is set to make his 200th appearance as Chelsea manager tonight.
  • Chelsea have lost only four of their last 23 meetings with Arsenal in all competitions (W13, D6, L4).

IN A NUTSHELL: The Capital One Cup presents opportunities for Chelsea to try out some of the promising youngsters in match situations, as well as to challenge for a trophy. This competition definitely has lost some of its glory as most of the big clubs look to give their youth players a run_in with the big boys. However, the fact that the tie is a London derby against a nemesis whom we have had absorbing contests with, over the last few seasons, just takes the excitement a notch higher. Once the teams come out of the tunnel, it is gonna be all business. Bring on the League Cup!
