Fernando Torres out for ‘a few weeks’

Chelsea v Manchester United - Barclays Premier LeagueAfter the big win against Manchester United on Sunday, Jose Mourinho has some news that wasn’t quiet positive. The Spain striker, who scored at Southampton and Hull earlier this month, came on as a late substitute for hat-trick hero Samuel Eto’o but did not last the distance due to a damage to his lateral knee ligament.

‘Lateral ligament in his knee, (he’ll be out for) weeks. It’s time for Demba, he has had a fantastic week and it was very difficult for me to leave him out because he’s worked very well.’

In other news, it was reported that Jose Mourinho has had undergone a surgery on his elbow in Paris after attending the writer’s association award on Sunday night following the Manchester United clash.

We would like to wish both Fernando Torres and Jose Mourinho a fast recovery even though Jose’s surgery is a minor one and not something serious hopefully.
