Rating the midfielders for the year to Date

John Obi Mikel – 7/10

MIKEL GOAL1Much maligned DM has been his sturdy self when called upon this year, a no nonsense player with little flair he is more comfortable passing sideways and backwards then spearheading moves but his defensive abilities have been top notch again and Jose knows exactly what he is getting each and every game

Ramires – 8/10

The go go man of the Chelsea Midfield, never stops running and Jose has had him pretty much as the only constant in midfield, sometimes lacks touch on his final ball, but his ability to get forward and contribute telling goals can’t be overlooked

Frank Lampard – 6/10

Legend of the club has started to show his age this year, no longer able to get forward quite as much as he did, which also has to do with his deeper position. Still a danger when he does get forward, and never misses a penalty.

Marco Van Ginkel – 4/10

Season derailed before it began for the promising midfield buy from Vitesse, Has a ton of talent and plays like a young Frank Lampard , here is hoping there is lots more to come from the young Dutchman

Oscar – 8/10

Became Jose’s preferred NO.10 when The Special One returned, ousting Mata from that role and he hasn’t looked back, Gets forward and tracks back with equal intensity, capable of threading the killer ball and has chipped in with his share of goals, Oscar has it all and is primed for a big 2nd half of the year

Eden Hazard -9.5/10Hazard winner vs LFC

Been outstanding, Jose challenged him early about his training, and Eden has responded, Been our best player and a match winner on multiple occasions,  whether its on the right, down the centre or in his more natural wide leftThe kid is world class and the sky is the limit.

Willian -7/10

Big things were expected from the Brazillian after the 30 million price tag and seeing him tear us apart in the Champions league last year, starting slowly, looked off the pace and gave us all a panic thinking not another 30 million flop, However he has come on with leaps and bounds lately and is looking every inch the player we thought, one to watch in the 2nd half of year

Andre Schurrle – 6/10

After a prolonged transfer which took the better part of 2 season Schurrle has come in and found it very hard to Oust Eden Hazard from his preferred Left Wing spot, When he has come into the team has looked promising, Scored a couple of goals and with a bit more game time might prove to be worth every penny [polldaddy poll=7745908]
