Chelsea triumphed in the London derby against fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Goals from “Old Man” Eto’o, Hazard and Demba Ba ensured that Chelsea sit seven points clear at the top of the table.

The game started with controversy as Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris brought down Samuel Eto’o, they Cameroon international was deemed offisde however replays showed that he was onside and therefore Hugo Lloris potentially could have been sent off.

Four minutes later Chelsea were almost ahead. The ball found it’s way to the in-form Andre Schurrle who fed Hazard, the Belgianexpertly rounded Lloris and shot agonizingly wide from a tight angle.

After a very nervy start for the visitors, Spurs managed to settle down and began to dominate possession. Sandro almost provided Spurs with a stunning strike yet he was denied by the resilient Cech.

Chelsea were almost took the lead and yet again it was Eto’o who was at the heart of the action. The striker was pushed wide but then unleashed a fierce strike which shook the side-netting.

After receiving a yellow card in the first half and the fact that Chelsea were in need of a change of energy Frank Lampard was replaced by Oscar.

Following a spell of dominance Chelsea were rewarded with a goal! Jan Vertonghen slipped and pressured by the presence of Andre Schurrle he aimlessly played a pass which fell fortunately for Samuel Eto’o who coolly slotted the ball through the legs of Dawson and Lloris. 1-0 Chelsea

Younes Kaboul appeared to have fouled Eto’o in the box however replays showed that contact was minimal and Chelsea were awarded the penalty. To deepen Spurs’ misery Kaboul was handed a straight red card! Eden Hazard stepped up and doubled Chelsea’s advantage.

The league leaders looked very contempt with their advantage and decided to keep passing the ball. Willian and Ba were introduced for Chelsea, whilst Paulinho and Fryers came on for Tottenham.

With only a couple of minutes left Mourinho’s men increased their advantage. Oscar’s cross deflected off the heel of Sandro, the ball was picked up by Ba who smashed the ball into the back of the net. 3-0 Chelsea
