Well, this is a rumour which we all have been hearing since 2011, when AVB became our manager. Hulk was seen moving to London just a few days ago, he took a picture with his manager and friend, in a plane on the way to London. This rumour started heating up since Zenit’s manager was sacked, Hulk might have been planning to move to a new club, although he has had an amazing 1 and a half year at Zenit.
What can Hulk do for us?
He has been known to solve our striker issues we have been facing since Didier Drogba left the club back in 2012 but originally, he is actually a wide player, playing for most of his career on the wings. Putting him in the striker position wouldn’t necessarily solve our problem but I rest my case. It will be up to Hulk (if we eventually sign him) to prove himself to the Blues.
How much would he cost us?
Its hard to say but at this point, he would still cost as much as he would have cost us if we bought him from Porto, but a bit less. Around 30 to 35 million. That would be a lot considering we bought Torres for 50 million but injuries and bad form has kept him out of contention and he hasn’t lived up to the price tag.
Final Opinion
Whether this deal happens or not, we still have Lukaku who has gained a lot of experience in the League. Costa has been linked with us this season and he could prove to be a major signing for us. Same goes for Cavani but doesn’t look like the deal could happen for him.

How old is hulk? If he is above 27 then definitely not. I really like Hulk but I think. Its rather late for him to be coming to chelsea. Let’s see what mou has in mind.
Let get the beast(HULK) to the BRIDGE +Costa and sell mikel,lampard,torres,ba,kakuta but what of Sallah,atsu?

Our first aim should be getting Costa this summer then we can later buy Hulk. Costa should be our highest priority this summer rather than trying to get. Hulk is a good player but I prefer Costa to Hulk instead spending exorbitant on Hulk.
Besides Costa is playing league than Hulk. Hulk used to be good when he was at Porto but I don’t think he is the same player compared to when he was playing at Porto. For me Costa anytime.
cesar azpilcueta is the most under rated player… i havent seen him committing a single mistake… never gets beaten one on one… keeping cole out on left side as a right back himself…

I believe Costa OR Mandzukic are our best bet. I don’t see us getting both but instead I think we should sell ba and Torres and keep eto’o. WE STILL HAVE LUKAKU!! Remember him? That Belgian Tank. If we get Costa AND Mandzuckic Lukaku’s game time will be cut significantly. Lukaku is going to be the next Drogba. That’s something we can’t stop but if we sign too many world class strikers we will see our selves in that situation and I don’t want to. Lukaku is the future of Chelsea and we can’t hold him back.
