We are back with the loan watch after a hiatus of couple of weeks. So, let us catch up with all the action the contingent of Chelsea loanees participated in, during the last week of March.

England
Romelu Lukaku scored for Everton in their win against Newcastle in the midweek, which was his 13th goal of the season for the Merseyside club and put up an impressive display against Fulham on Sunday in a 3-1 victory.

Patrick Bamford scored twice for Derby County in two games the past week, the first of which was the 100th goal scored by a Chelsea loanee in the 2013-14 season and came within 33 seconds into Derby’s game at Ipswich Town. His second was against Charlton Athletic in the weekend.

Ryan Bertrand started for Aston Villa in their 4-1 loss at Old Trafford and was unspectacular.

Victor Moses came off the bench to play 10 minutes against Tottenham but was an unused substitute against Sunderland earlier in the week. Liverpool comfortably won both games.

Josh McEachran was impressive against QPR in the midweek but was not a part of Wigan’s match day squad against Bolton on Sunday, due to reasons unknown.

Kenneth Omeruo started both of Middlesbrough’s games last week but Nathaniel Chalobah only got the first 45 minutes and the last 10 minutes of their games against Huddersfield and Brighton respectively.

Todd Kane started in a 3-3 draw for Blackburn against Watford in the midweek, but was relegated to bench during the weekend.

Sam Hutchinson started for Sheffield Wednesday in their win over Brighton, but could play only 45 minutes as he picked up a knee injury.

Milan Lalkovic suffered a similar fate as to Hutchinson, as his hamstring gave away after the first half at Bradford, missing the weekend’s action thereafter.

George Saville is currently injured & played no part in any of Brentford’s games last week.

Spain
Thibaut Courtois is key in Atletico’s bid for the La Liga title and played significant role in his team securing all six points last week. He kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 win at Grenada, and then pulled off a magnificent save which helped Atletico beat Bilbao 2-1.

Marko Marin was decent in Sevilla’s 2-1 win over Real Madrid in the midweek, but was on bench against Celta Vigo in a 1-0 loss.

Oriol Romeu returned from injury to see 45 minutes of action against Almeria. He played another 45 against Getafe on Sunday.

Netherlands
Bertrand Traore scored his first goal for Vitesse in a 2-2 draw with Heerenveen, where Lucas Piazon, Cristian Atsu and Patrick van Aanholt started the game.

Stipe Perica came on in the injury time only in NAC Breda’s draw with Utrecht.

Italy
Gael Kakuta has continued to be an unused substitute for Lazio.

Wallace has continued to not be a part of Inter Milan’s matchday squad.

France
Kurt Zouma performed well in St. Etienne’s 2-1 win over Lyon in the Ligue 1 derby.

Belgium
Thorgan Hazard scored a fine penalty for Zulte Waregem in their 3-0 win over Genk in the Jupiler League play-offs.

Billy Clifford was an unused substitue for Royal Antwerp in the second division.

Bosnia-Herzegovina
Matej Delac kept a clean sheet in a goal-less draw.

That is all for this week. Next week, we shall be back with more updates. Until then, don’t forget to share with us your thoughts about the loanees.
