Petr Cech – “Chelsea experience might see Blues lift title over Liverpool”

The Czech international stopper said that Liverpool’s squad inexperience might go against them as the title race spices up with just 4 games remaining from now till the closing day of the season. Cech said that Jose Mourinho’s men experience in such big moments of the season might go in our favor.

‘Nobody expected anything from Liverpool this season and they’re in contention — it’s why they’ve been able to play without pressure so far.

‘But let’s see how they will cope when it comes to the last hurdle. They will have to jump over it. They have been doing remarkably well, but we are still around.’

Cech says Chelsea need to raise their own game after making hard work of their 1-0 win over Swansea at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday.

However, in capitalising on City’s defeat on the same day at Liverpool, they are only two points off the lead.

‘Obviously we have to wait for one slip-up from City but if we win our games we have a chance,’ added Cech. ‘We have players who are used to playing big games.’

‘We have just four games to play now and if we win all of our matches, then we will be there right to the end. We will try to win them all and then we’ll see where we’ll be.’

Chelsea have complained about their fixture list, with two Champions League semi-final ties against Atletico Madrid either side of the huge Barclays Premier League clash against Liverpool — a potential title decider — on April 27.
