Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor has admitted that Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is the best manager he has played under to date and has praised the ‘Special One’ for the way he communicates with his players.
The Togolese striker spent six month under José Mourinho at Madrid and he has revealed that despite playing under the likes of Mancini, Wenger and Andre Villas-Boas, Jose Mourinho remains the best manager he has played for.
In an exclusive interview with ex-footballer Fabrice Muamba, Adebayor paid tribute to the Portuguese coach.

Adebayor has played under Arsene Wenger, Roberto Mancini, Mourinho, Andre Villas-Boas, Mark Hughes, Harry Redknapp and Didier Deschamps, but the current Chelsea boss is the pick for the bunch for the Togolese forward.

“Mourinho” he said. ”Even though it was the shortest one, only six months, he was the one that, even in training, I always did my best, I always ran around, I always did what I had to do.
“Because he knows how to treat players, he knows how to talk to them. He knows how to have, like, ‘communication’ with his players. So for me, that is what you need.

“At the end of the day, even though you are my boss, I am a human being. I have got a child as well. I have got people working for me in Africa so you have to know how to talk to people. That is why I think he is very good.”

When asked about Wenger,
Adebayor said: “Arsene is a good manager.

“When I still see him on the football pitch, yes, because I am still a footballer, he is a manager. Footballers always say, ‘Hi!’ because we are talking the same language, which is football.”
