Chelsea first win of the Champions League campaign came when they faced Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday night in a breath taking encounter.
A first half goal from Nemanja Matic who was a former rival to Sporting Lisbon was enough for Chelsea to overcome the home side.
These are my player-ratings for the match!
• Thibaut Courtois – 7.0/10
The Belgian Goalkeeper kept his third clean sheet of the season. He saved some area balls, a 31yard strike from William Carvalho and his goal kicking style was outstanding.
• Branislav Ivanovic – 6.5/10
The right back tried his possible best to get the ball upfront but was halted by the defence of the home team. Nani was also a threat to the Serbian as he shows some amazing skill on the flank.
• Gary Cahill – 8.0/10
He played a great role in the centre-back position. He created lot of intersections in the 18yard box and made some amazing clearance.
