Tuchel speaks ahead of Chelsea vs Newcastle, what was said by the Chelsea Coach?

Thomas Tuchel conducted a press conference today at Cobham ahead of the trip of Newcastle United to Stamford bridge on Sunday afternoon. So, what did we learn, what was the updates? In this article we will be going through 5 important bits of information / quotes from the coach.

With Three requesting to suspend their shirt sponsorship, that leaves space and would you urge the club to use that to promote a message of peace or something like that?

“We can always wear a message for peace. It can never be the wrong message. Maybe the worry is to find enough shirts to play in with the sanctions, but as long as we have enough shirts as the bus is full of fuel we will arrive and be competitive

Given the current situation, you can’t renew the contracts of Cesar Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christenen. Is that something you’ll speak to them about because it’s a strange situation?

“Yes, it changed in the morning but we had a game to prepare for. I’m not sure I’m the right person to speak about it because I don’t have full information and, as the club said, there are talks with the government about how the licence can be lived. Let’s see in the moment, even if this is for you maybe not enough.

Is the best way for your players to insulate themselves from all the talk of sanctions and licences to carry on winning?

“It’s always the best way to carry on winning. Also, for us, it’s maybe in the moment a bit more difficult because of the noise. Some players will feel uncertainty. Some may be will be a bit frightened. Some will be concerned. It’s normal.

In a response to questions about what neutral fans think about this weekends game, Tuchel responded by saying :

“ Maybe I don’t care, I want us to win, and it’ll be difficult because Newcastle are very strong, I’m sorry but I don’t care too much about what neutral spectators think about who should win it “

Tuchel, as he has done for the majority of his Chelsea tenure so far, is saying the correct things and the way he words things gives belief to Chelsea fans and the players, you could imagine the disruption and talk that Roman Abramovich being officially sanctioned would’ve occurred ahead of the Norwich game, yet, Chelsea ran out 3-1 victors at Carrow road.

Tuchel will be hoping Chelsea continue on the winning run with a win against Newcastle on Sunday, however as you can see by his quotes, he doesn’t really care what neutral fans think about the 2 clubs with Newcastle being run by a controversial Saudi group and Chelsea’s owner being a supposed supporter of the Putin Regime.

Tuchel wants to win, and so far at Chelsea, he’s been damn good at doing that.
