The Brazilian Wonderkid Endrick and why Todd Boehly is chasing him so badly

Chelsea are on the shortlist with other super clubs like Real Madrid to secure the signing of Endrick, 16 years old from Palmerias in Brazil.

The player has a €60M release clause which comes into effect in 2024 when he turns 18.

Endrick is a mercurial talent that stacks up there with players like Neymar Jr. Ronaldo & Ronaldinho in terms of hype, potential and expectations of greatness.

Endrick attributes + traits –

Speed, strength, IQ, intensity, dribbling, versatility, composure, complete forward.

Eye Test

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t watch his full 90 minute youth matches from Brazil.

I got plugged in with Endrick since his viral bicycle kick from outside the 18 yard box that shocked the football world & quickly gave him the most hype from Brazil since Neymar Jr.

I had close friends that watch the league closely mention him to me beforehand, but that’s when I seriously took notice. Something that I noticed quickly when assessing Endrick was that his intensity, speed & tenacity were off the charts.

When driving with the ball with force he is unstoppable, also has technique + dribbling to carry it into threatening situations. I believe he will be able to play in multiple positions in a front 3 or whichever formation as shown in the youth ranks already. It looks like he’ll check out as either a winger or ST.

One of the appealing aspects of a talent of his caliber is the insane mixture of his speed, strength with technique and grace for the game. Lastly on his profile, I think he has a really venomous strike of the ball with brilliant technique seen with players like Adriano and Hulk.

If everything checks out, I believe he can deliver 20 league goals a season or even more.

I certainly think he could adapt to the brutality of the Premier League, and on the contrary I think he would be the one to inflict the pain physically.

Palmeiras is a club that has been really competing on all fronts lead by Leila Pereira who has a similar role to what Marina Granovskaia held at Chelsea.

Both seen at the Club World Cup Final in Abu Dhabi on February 22 2022 when Chelsea won 2-1 in ET.

Palmerias has a really well set foundation right now, as they’ve won 2 Copa Libertadores which is the most prestigious trophy in South America. Led by manager Abel Ferreira, they are top of the table of Brasileirao and also farming a lot of youth products as their foundation and competitiveness in those ranks are also similar to Cobham with Chelsea. They are pumping out a lot of talent aside from Endrick.

Pure data on Endrick is difficult to find, however the talent shined vs top nations in U17.

The case for Chelsea over Real Madrid..

The main advantage I would say Endrick has at Chelsea over a dream club for a lot of players is that the competition up top will be much more fierce there. Endrick is certainly good enough to make it at Madrid, however at Chelsea he can become a main centric player & club superstar.

Would he like to be Competing vs. players like Vincius Jr & Rodrygo at both club and NT level with Seleção for over a decade?

Will Florentino Pérez be able to convince Endrick and his family that Real Madrid provide the best project for his development over Chelsea?

I’m a believer that Todd Boehly and Chelsea would have great intentions & look over his future.

Chelsea have an attack needing star power potential & would fit modern model of investing in youth.

Florentino Pérez has went after highly rated talents like Kylian Mbappe & Erling Haaland in search of the next Galáticos already.

I think Chelsea Football Club pose a serious threat to Real Madrid in the race for his signature.

Chelsea are proving that if you are good enough you get your chance to breakthrough, as seen with Reece James and others.

Infamous Grade –  €60M release clause : A+ transfer

From what I see on tape is a player that is so complete and checks out like I’ve rarely if ever seen. He is just a dynamite player in every sense of the game.

This is a transfer that you go into with confidence, it’s almost too big to fail. No wonder Chelsea are not waiting until his release clause kicks in and as ChelseaFC365 understands, have already held informal talks with people close to Endrick.

The reward far outweighs the risk!

The potential is that good he could quickly double or triple his current player market value which is estimated to be around 30-40m GBP, he is arguably at a cut rate deal already in today’s market.

If the talent fulfils itself, we’re looking at a future Ballon D’or contender & generational player.
