Chelsea have made an initial approach to sign Villareal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen.
Jorgensen, born in Sweden but representing Denmark, is a young goalkeeper who has a reputation for being very good on the ball.
The club have deemed Djorde Petrovic not good enough to play in Enzo Maresca’s system and Jorgensen is now discussing personal terms with Chelsea.
Jorgensen is seen as talented and being able to fit into the Maresca way of playing, reports Liam Twomey from The Athletic.
Villareal extended Jorgensen’s contract last month and it is unclear how much he would cost.
