Player ratings: Chelsea run riot in Wolverhampton after Madueke story drama

Not such a bad place after all for Noni Madueke, is it? A superb hat trick for him, a hat trick of assists from Cole Palmer and a Felix goal on his second debut.

We are on the move for the season!

Robert Sanchez – 6

Two conceded though not so much down to him. An absolutely superb kick to Jackson at the end of the first half which led to our second of the day. Overall, less complaints than last week for sure.

Malo Gusto – 6

Better second half after he was chasing shadows in the first. He didn’t appear comfortable in midfield in the first 45 but like I said, certainly improved.

Wesley Fofana – 5

Disappointing today and was part of a core who were completely and utterly ripped to shreds in the first half. Still think he’s our best bet at the moment to partner Colwill, though he really needs to step up.

Levi Colwill – 6

The better of the two centre backs today. Looked pretty comfortable on the ball with a 93% passing accuracy today. Pleased.

Marc Cucurella – 7

Absolutely fantastic today, continuing this great form he’s had over the past couple of months. Always involved in whatever arguments are going on too!

Moises Caicedo – 5

I’ll be honest, in the first half he was absolutely shocking. Losing the ball so many teams, weak in the challenge aswell, not forgetting he did lose the ball for Wolves’ first goal.

However, in the second half he was much more like his usual self, contributing to what looked like a more solid defensive showing.

Enzo Fernandez – 5

I don’t mean he was BAD by giving a 5, just neutral overall, like Caicedo. (Though I’m expecting people assume a 5 means bad but for me, it doesn’t).

Noni Madueke – 10

Can only be a 10! A superb hat trick after already rattling the entirety of Wolverhampton lastnight. He proved a point today, more of the same please Noni, superb!

Cole Palmer – 10

Another 10 from me – a hat trick of assists in addition to a sumptuous goal of his own. He’s an incredible player and already on the move for the season.

Mykhailo Mudryk – 5

Only had 45 minutes to be effective though didn’t do a lot for me. I can’t say all too much as didn’t see all of the first half.

Nicolas Jackson – 7

First goal for the season and a great assist for Palmer’s goal too. Got to continue with consistent performances next week but it’s a good start to the season for him.

Substitutes:

Pedro Neto – 6

A lovely assist for Felix for our sixth and looked decent in the second 45.

Joao Felix – 6

A beautifully taken goal – I can’t give more than a 6 as it can’t be too easy for him.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – N/A

Renato Veiga – N/A

Christopher Nkunku – N/A

Enzo Maresca – 8

After a worrying first half, whatever Enzo said, worked.

We were far more solid, better on the ball, and of course scored four more goals. We move.
