Chelsea fall to a frustrating draw at home to a Nottingham Forest side that ended the game with 10 players on the pitch.
Certainly a tough one to take, but with Aston Villa failing to beat Manchester United, we remain in fourth spot heading into the second international break of the season.
Robert Sanchez – 8
In comparison to his shocker of a display last weekend, it would be fair to argue we have Sanchez to thank for us not losing the game late on.
An incredible save to deny Forest a 103rd minute winner.
Malo Gusto – 5
Not his best day at the office. Really poor first half but seemed to have improved in the second, which was pleasing, despite being poorly caught out for Forest’s opener.
Wesley Fofana – 6
Didn’t do too badly today but annoyingly picked up a yellow card which means he’s suspended for the game at Anfield in a few weeks time.
Levi Colwill – 7
Made an absolutely impeccable block in the first half to stop Yates giving Forest the lead. Had a really tidy game all in all
Marc Cucurella – 6
Again much like the rest of the back four, not particularly poor and did his job to an okay standard throughout the game. Also annoyingly suspended for Liverpool.
Moises Caicedo – 6
An okay afternoon, not strictly the type of game where he can win it for us with his type of role, which might be why his performance could’ve been undervalued.
Enzo Fernandez – 5
Enough is enough, I think across the international break we’ll start to see the consensus that he simply isn’t doing enough for us right now.
Several poor corners today, some leading to dangerous counter attacks, and just not having a massive impact on the game. Poor, and needs to step up.
Noni Madueke – 7
Annoying first half but got the rewards for his persistence in the second, and got us back into the game. He needed the goal, and there’s still competition and discussions to be had with who plays out of him and Neto.
Cole Palmer – 7
Another assist as well as much trying to nick us the game. Still, not his best day, but that’s just the standard he sets of himself.
Jadon Sancho – 5
Quite quiet overall, apart from a couple of lively moments. Still think the left wing spot is his though, no doubt.
Nicolas Jackson – 5
Hardly involved at all which is rare for Nico. A frustrating afternoon.
Substitutes:
Pedro Neto – N/A
Mykhailo Mudryk – N/A but good cross which should have been the winner to Nkunku.
Joao Felix – 5
Missed a huge chance late on.
Christopher Nkunku – 5
Same as Felix, just couldn’t nick it for us.
Enzo Maresca – 6
A classic post European performance despite the starting 11 not playing in the week. Maybe left is changes a little late but not much he did wrong.
