Chelsea, in collaboration with Enzo Maresca and his coaching staff have set out a strict plan for Wesley Fofana, according to L’Equipe.
The plan internally agreed is to play the defender once a week until the start of 2025.
This will mean that Fofana does not play any cup competitions until after the new year. The plan has been put in place to try and avoid another injury.
After such a long time out, Fofana has returned in good form this season and the report, translated by GFFN, states that Enzo Maresca is in love with him as a player.
Chelsea will also surely be looking at a similar plan for Reece James, who is set to return to first team training this week ahead of Liverpool on Sunday.
Maresca has reduced the injuries in the squad, with the only player currently out being Reece himself.
