It was an emotional night as Panathinaikos hosted their first home game since the passing of former defender George Baldock.
Tributes were made by both sets of fans and clubs before kick off.
On the pitch, Chelsea took home three convincingly won points, which makes it two wins from two in the Europa Conference League.
A great night for Mudryk, a brace for Felix and a nice cameo from Tyrique George amongst the highlights from the evening.
Ratings below :
Filip Jorgensen – 6
Completed all but two passes, unfortunate not to get a clean sheet.
Axel Disasi – 6
Tidy enough, not an awful lot to do tonight but can’t complain with his performance overall.
Benoit Badiashile – 7
Great on the ball tonight, in excess of 100 touches and completed 80% of his long balls (SofaScore).
That’s two positive appearances in a row now for a player who looks as though he’s getting some confidence back again.
Renato Veiga – 6
Not too bad, much like Disasi, not absolutely incredible but did enough all in all.
Marc Cucurella – 7
Played really well in the inverted role tonight. Made some nicely timed runs infield that allowed us to escape their press.
Hasn’t put a foot wrong all season and good performances like tonight are becoming common.
Enzo Fernandez – 7
Much better tonight, looked a lot more like his usual self.
Granted, the level of opposition isn’t exactly the same as we face in the Premier League, but he probably needed a night like tonight to feel like himself again.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – 7
Solid. Did well to link play up in different areas of the pitch and had an all round pretty decent games.
Pedro Neto – 6
Couple of nice moments here and there, and a great assist for Mudryk’s goal.
Maybe needed to do a little more to give Maresca something to think about ahead of Newcastle but an okay game all in all.
Joao Felix – 8
Two goals, the first of which thanks to some good movement getting into the space between defenders.
Again, another player who needs games like tonight to boost their confidence, and hopefully it did just that.
Mykhailo Mudryk – 8
Probably his best game for Chelsea in months! Again, granted the opposition level isn’t so strong but he was direct, attacking the box and looked like he had some confidence. A goal and two assists, a great night’s work.
Christopher Nkunku – 6
Not really in the game at all but came out of it with a goal, meaning he maintains his 100% record with 4 in 4 European games this season.
Substitutes:
Marc Guiu – 5
Not much to report.
Tyrique George – 6.5
I never give a half on the end of a number but 6.5 felt appropriate for George.
Whilst he didn’t grab a goal involvement he was direct and really positive. It was refreshing to see a young player come on and have that approach.
Cesare Casadei – N/A
Carney Chukwuemeka – N/A
