Chelsea come back from a goal down to secure a solid point against Arsenal, leaving the blues third going into the November international break.
Robert Sanchez – 6
Despite making a really good save from a Martinelli shot in the first half, yet again, questions were raised over his abilities after he was beaten at his near post in the second half, allowing Arsenal to go a goal up.
Certainly a player where it’s hard to work out whether he’s a net positive, or net negative at the moment.
Malo Gusto – 6
Better today than he has been in recent games. Should’ve had his first Chelsea goal in the first half after he got onto the end of a cross from Neto at close range, however unfortunately it flew over the bar.
A good day overall though and dealt with Martinelli pretty well. Not ideal in the inside pocket though, I must say.
Wesley Fofana – 7
I actually thought today was his best game in quite some time. Nice and aggressive, confident bringing the ball out from the back on a few occasions as well.
Levi Colwill – 6
One of those days where he did some good, and some not so good. A few lovely passes into midfield, though eventually a few that felt forced and not quite right.
Also the deepest defender, playing Martinelli on for Arsenal’s goal, which was very frustrating.
Marc Cucurella – 8
Absolutely superb! Got tight to Saka and was aggressive as he needed to be, all the way through the game until his opponent went off.
Really good day for Cucurella today and absolutely back in the fold for league games.
Moises Caicedo – 8
Incredible again. Disrupted Arsenal when necessary and also provided some calmness when we needed it as well.
He’s had a really good spell of form and people are definitely, finally seeing his ability for what it is.
Romeo Lavia – 6
Not bad but equally nothing too special. Was okay all in all through our first phase or two and had some good moments out of possession, though wasn’t on the level of Caicedo today.
Noni Madueke – 5
Frustrating again because he got into some fantastic areas, however didn’t do enough for me. Not a great deal else to add.
Cole Palmer – 5
Bar the first five or 10 minutes, really poor. Struggled to get into the game and have the effect he normally has, and, sadly that’s been the case against City, and Liverpool as well. Needs to stay in games like today and be more effective.
Pedro Neto – 8
A fan favourite in the making for sure. Fantastically taken equaliser, worked his socks off throughout the game, was absolutely fantastic. Whether on the left or the right, he’s effective, and he’s superb.
Substitutes:
Enzo Fernandez – 6
A solid cameo, nothing out of the ordinary but an improvement to say the least – with an assist to mark it.
Mykhailo Mudryk – N/A
Ineffective, not a lot to add.
Christopher Nkunku – N/A
Enzo Maresca – 7
Solid today, we were set up well, didn’t get beat at the very least. Not Maresca’s best or worst day.
