Chelsea have struck an agreement to sign Sporting wonderkid Geovany Quenda.

The deal was struck out of the blue and in secret as Chelsea beat Manchester United to the signature.

Quenda is a versatile player, he plays wing back and also on either wing.

It is thought Chelsea and Maresca see him as a winger. Quenda still has a lot of development to do at only 17 years old.

Chelsea will pay £40m, no add ons. The player will join Chelsea in the 2026/27 season signing a 7 year contract.
