Just days after agreeing a deal to sign Geovany Quenda, Chelsea have continued negotiations with Sporting and struck a deal for midfielder Dario Essugo.

Essugo, 20 years old, is of a similar profile to Moises Caicedo and is anticipated to provide cover for him next season.

Essugo is currently on loan at Las Palmas, he is known for his ball winning, aggressiveness and running power.

Chelsea will pay £18.5m for his services.
