Chelsea will be amongst the clubs to hold face to face talks with Liam Delap, reports The Athletic.

Delap is set to leave Ipswich Town this summer and has a release clause of £30m.

Manchester United are red hot favourites to land the signature of Delap, but Chelsea could swoop in and are set to hold face to face talks.

Delap is understood to be keen on moving back to Manchester and both sides may or may not have UCL Football to offer come next week.

Chelsea have connections with Delap with current coach Enzo Maresca managing him at Manchester City’s youth sides, as well as sharing a relationship with another former city chief, Joe Shields.
