Chelsea have agreed a loan deal with newly promoted Sunderland for striker Marc Guiu.

Chelsea want the player to play a lot of starting minutes next season and Sunderland are seen as a good destination for his development.

The deal will be a straight, dry loan and will not include any purchase option. Sunderland will also cover his salary.

Guiu scored bags of goals last season in the UEFA Conference League but his chances were limited in the league due to a lengthy injury he suffered in the second half of the season.

Chelsea are still in the market for more attackers, with talks for Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho ongoing.
