5 goals and a 5 star performance from Chelsea as they completely batter Ajax to climb up the Champions League group.
A convincing, dominating and stress free performance has us all optimistic going into games going forward!
The momentum this group of players and the manager could take will be influential to good performances and results.
Jorgensen – 6.5
Looked comfortable for most of the game apart from possibly saving the penalty as it wasnt that strong from Weghorst
Caicedo – 9
Absolutely dominated that midfield once again and deservedly got a goal. Right, this came off just shortly after halftime to give him some rest.
Fofana – 6.5
Dealt with white horse in some phases of play but found it quite difficult at times to move and progressive quickly. Overall pretty decent though.
Tosin – 5.5
Assembly performance like foreigner to be honest with you except the fact that he made a stupid challenge and caused the penalty to happen.
Hato – 7
Against his former club overall did really well to nullify any threat on that side. The slow progression and nurturing of how to is going under the radar.
Buonanotte – 7
It’s a very nice touches and very nice moments and playing in number 10 roll for us and could be a handy weapon for us going forward.
Lavia – 7.5
Broke up play quite well in midfield however there was some sloppy passes when a transition but that is just much sharpness which will come over overtime.
Enzo – 7
Took his penalty cool and composed like a leader and glad to see him, at halftime to nurse the injury he had for Argentina.
Estevao – 9 (MOTM)
Watching this kid is more enjoyable by the week. He was oozing class out there and totally embarrassed the whole Ajax defence. The scary thing is he is going to get better and better.
Guiu – 8.5
Hardworking and pressed resistantly throughout the time he was on. Took his goal well and it was a proper strikers instinct finish.
We really do need to see more of him to get the best out of the players around us and give us a vocal point on top to work the defenders.
Gittens- 6.5
Some more promising sites that you will improve. Probably his best game for us in the Chelsea shot despite not getting a goal or assist.
Personally, could have done much more with beating his man and going down the flag more, but that is just a confidence issue and a coaching issue.
Maresca: 9
Intriguing starting 11 with Caicedo at RB and finally Guiu getting a start offer impactful appearances off the bench.
Coached a aggressive win and interesting to see him put Josh in midfield when he came on and at times had estevao and Buanonette vacating the 10 spaces.
Subs:
George: 7
Looked lively coming on and some of his best moments came down the flags, even though he was playing as a striker. Also a well taken goal to cap off a good second half performance.
Walsh: N/A
Chalobah: 6
Same as Josh was quick to suck balls and sustaining the flowing move of attackS.
Achaempong: 6
Swept up any second balls in the midfield and looked physically intimidating.
Santos: 5.5
Look solid coming off the bench and his best performances have come off the bench for us when the game is done which is at the stage that Santos is at.
