TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR… ITS HAPPENED AGAIN!

Chelsea turn up once again at White Hart Lane with a convincing defensive performance after many questions asked about the resilience of this team.

This could have been 6 or 7 to be truthful but the finishing wasn’t there. A different kind of test awaits onWednesday against Qarabag before we play Wolves.

Sanchez – 8

Made 1 big save towards the end of the half and overall dealt with most crosses into the box confidently.

Gusto – 7

Frustrating to watch out sometimes but his last ditch tackling was very good. Offered some defensive stability down the right hand side.

Fofana – 8

An absolute rock at the back the key was him drifting into the midfield to out number Spurs. This is a huge game for him to stake a claim at Centre back for us.

Chalobah- 7.5

Just like fofana, he was stable at the back and looks more comfortable playing next to him and maybe this is the partnership that keeps us going the whole season.

Cucurella – 8

Stayed tight to Kudus and didn’t allow him any space to play and create chances which was the key.

James – 8.5

A rock in the midfield and added that extra physicality we needed in midfield.

Supported the attack when possible too with picking up 2nd balls. A phenomenal second half performance.

Caicedo – 9.5 (MOTM)

Wow! How on earth did he hunt down the ball in the box for Pedros goal?! That sums up what Caicedos all about.

Another complete dominant performance from our destroyer and i cant believe he gets better every week.

Enzo – 7

Did a lot of work off the ball and had some nice link up play with Garnacho down the left hand side.

Needed a little bit more from him when supporting attacks and defensively.

Neto – 6.5

Put in a shift as always and supported defensively and put in some good crosses into the box.

Joao Pedro -9

Fantastic hold up play throughout the whole game, it relieved so much pressure off us when there was an outlet.

A very well taken goal as well, which was ultimately the difference. Unlucky lucky to be robbed of an assist at the end to Gittens.

Maresca: 9

Baffling to see Guiu and Achaempong dropped despite their good form.

Gusto returning to the starting xi will always spark debate for wanting to start.

Ultimately paid off with the game plan of having reece in midfield which was key.

Some nice moments, but had a sitter right at the end to make it two. Some nice touches and take ons when he came on, though.

Made a difference with controlling that midfield and offered physicality when needed.
