Didier Drogba – The King

Didier Drogba – The King

“Thank you for giving me the chance to show what I was able to do, thank you for supporting me when I was struggling here.”

Every Chelsea fan is struggling to hold their emotions while listening to Didi’s farewell interview for Chelsea TV. A passionate message to the fans, a passionate message which shows how much does this legend love the club. ‘Blue will always be our blood and our heart.’

A man who has given us many many many many moments of happiness. Since joining Chelsea from Marseille in 2004 the Drog scored 157 goals, provided 71 assists, won three Premier League titles, one Champions League trophy, four FA Cup trophies, two League Cup trophies and two Community Shield honors (I had to use this blog for these stats, so no copyright intended). Can we ask for more? All of that happened in 341 games for the club, making him one of the best strikers not only in our history but in the history of the Premier League/FA Cup/Champions League/etc. A striker with power, a striker with the desire to always do something good for the team. A striker who we’ll be struggling to replace for some time in the future. A player who loves the club. A player who’s not only that but a fantastic person, an amazing character.

Many words can be said about Didier Drogba but will never be enough. In our minds he’ll always be the Legend, the King of Wembley and Allianz Arena.

Farewell, King Didier. You’re gone but never forgotten. We will always love you.

Keep The Blue Flag Flying High!

P.S. Sorry for the small image at the beginning. I couldn’t find a better one for this title. I found the same picture that was a larger size but the quality was awful. So…yeah 😀 I hope you enjoyed the read 🙂 #CFC

  1. He was our king on the pitch. He who made us always believing in our team. He gave us hope in the midst of hopelessness, he gave us strength when ever we play even at 90mins we ll always belive that something ll come out of the drog of goal. He made us stand up to shout for joy. Drog of goal, drog of war, we really missed you, your goals, your super celebrations. Your strength was our confidence, your goals was our joy, your presence was our hope. Thank you Drog, thank you our king, he who prepared a table of feast for us in the presence of our enemies even right in the presence of the Germans in their own backyard . Thank you. Forever we ll adore you

Drogba was an exceptional player. The man for the big occasions. We thank you for all what you gave. Indeed, you will always be remembered. We were complete with you but no we find ourselves incomplete without you. You will forever remain our legend because you ultimately made history by winning the champions league for us.

  4. King Drog was/is truly a magnificent player who was born to score and win at Wembley. No doubt we’re going to miss his outrageous goals, dazzling free-kicks, cucumber-cool penalties(most notably in the CL Final), crazy celebrations, antics on the pitch(eg. diving, time wasting etc.) and also the fact that he was always there for us when we needed him.
