Ba wants Turkey move

Chelsea striker Demba Ba is open to a January move with Turkey the most favorable destination for the Senegalese striker. Ba is out of favor at Chelsea after resurgence of Fernando Torres under Jose Mourinho coupled with the capture of Samuel Eto’o in the summer. And now Ba is weighing his options and wants to move to Turkey in search of first team football.

Ba’s appearances in the first team have been limited and the situation doesn’t look like improving in the near future. Ba was wanted by Arsenal on loan in the summer on deadline day but Chelsea refused to sell to a rival club.

Ba is now attracting interest from Turkish side Besiktas and is reported to have held top secret talks with the club and is also attracting interest from Galatasaray and Fenerbahce. According to FIFA agent Ceylan Caliskan no deal has been agreed but it might just be a matter of time.

Caliskan said: “I talk closely with Demba Ba, he wants to play for a Turkish club but I can’t comment on a transfer yet.”

Besiktas are in desperate need of a goalscorer and the new manager Slaven Bilic has requested a move for a new striker in the January transfer window.

Demba Ba has had 2 starts and 3 substitute appearances for Chelsea in all competitions this season, scoring one and assisting another.
