Chelsea FC has confirmed that U-21 midfielder George Saville will head to West London club Brentford for the first half of the season.
Saville is a defender/midfielder and joined Chelsea in 2004. He was impressive in the U-21 ranks & the NextGen series last season. The club tried to loan him out to a Championship side, but his services were refused by most second tier clubs, before Millwall decided to take him on loan for the final months of the season.
Saville made just 3 appearances for Millwall, in spite of a congested fixture list. It was an insipid experience for the young Blue.
Chelsea have done well to find a League One club for Saville, as it would not be too demanding for him. The move has been decided early into the transfer season, thus providing him with ample time to settle down at The Bees and even take part in the pre-season.
Saville’s loan spell ends on January 5, 2014.
Good luck George!
