Ben Jacobs and Nizaar Kinsella report this evening over on X that Chelsea will not sell Carney Chukwuemeka for any less than £40m, his release clause.

Reports state that Chelsea do rate him internally despite the lack of minutes under Maresca and want to double their money on him or they will send him out on loan.

Chukwuemeka’s exclusion has been one of the more puzzling moments since Maresca arrived.

Clubs in the Premier League and abroad are interested but it seems unlikely that they will stump up the £40m figure Chelsea desire.
