What should be the starting XI against Fulham?

After 3 consecutive losses for the Blues, they will now face West London rivals Fulham today at 16.30GMT. The match will have plenty at stake for the Blues and The Special One has a lot to prove . Mourinho after his return to the Bridge hasn’t impressed the fans with his tactics and team selection. The results speak for themselves. First a loss to Bayern in the Super Cup, then an embarrassing defeat to Everton and then a shocking loss against Basel at home, Jose Mourinho has lost three successive games for the first time in his managerial career.
Today, the Blues will go for a win and try to get 3 points at home after they have plenty to catch up the league leaders at the moment – Liverpool.
This game being the 2nd in this week and 3rd in 7 days, Mourinho might look forward to rest some players who have played the majority part of the past 2 games. The lineup could be a bit different with some unexpected inclusion in the XI.
Here, I’ve tried to answer what the starting XI could be–
GK– Peter Cech — No doubts over his chance of playing in the game.
RB- Cesar Azpilicueta–  Azpi hasn’t been given a chance in the starting XI since Ivanovic is the first choice for Jose. Azpi impressed everyone with his capabilities last season and might get a nod ahead of the Serbian who might be given a rest after playing 90 mins in both the games that took place in 7 days.
OR Essien— Jose has often used Essien as a RB during his time with Real Madrid. Essiien didn’t disappoint with his performance as a RB either. With strong tackling abilities needed to stop the Fulham attack led by Bent and Berbatov, Essien could just be the man for Chelsea.
CB- Garry Cahill- After disappointing performances from David Luiz, Jose might think to give him a break and let Garry play.
CB- John Terry – The captain should start this afternoon. The back line struggles when he doesn’t play and this was clearly seen last season when he was injured. With no other player in this position available, JT remains the obvious choice.
LB- Ashley Cole – The Englishman had a real bad start to the season. But as there’s no other player in the squad, Cole will get a nod.
CM- Mikel– As expected, Mikel should be the starter and be on the pivot as he was the best player for CFC against Everton and his absence from XI was felt against Basel.
CM- Frank Lampard– Frank might start as his role in the team is vital at the moment. The team is struggling and Lampard is the right man to get the team in the game going .
AM trio– Andre Schürrle – Oscar – Willian .
as Mourinho has stated in the latest presser that Oscar is ‘his No.10’ , theres hardly doubt over his inclusion with Schurrle on RAM . Willian could be on the LAM as Hazard might be given a rest as he has played in every game for 90mins.
Striker- Torres – After disappointing performances from Eto’o and Ba in the past week, Torres could be given a chance to prove himself. adding to the fact that Eto’o played the 90 mins of both the games, the Cameroon might be rested.

Good line up but i’ll prefer Ramires instead of Lampard and it’s like u guys have forgotten KDB!KTBFFH!

    • Not forgotten KDB, but he hasn’t been upto the mark whenever given a chance. Plus there’s too much of competition for a place Attacking Midfield.

Mikel and Lampard combination have failed to work last season never try that one. Up front I think Ba deserves a chance to start a game this season he haven’t
