Niklas Sule has told Bayern Munich about his desire to leave the club this summer.
The Germany defender has less than five months to run on his contract with Bayern.
According to Bild, Sule has made it clear he will not sign an extension and would like to leave on a free transfer.
Sule, who joined Bayern from Hoffenheim in 2017, has made 25 appearances this season.
Chelsea and Newcastle United have both been linked with the 26-year-old in the past.
Having established himself as a regular for Bayern and Germany, Sule will no doubt attract a number of suitors when he hits the open market.
