Chelsea decide against move for Argentinian wonderkid as move for Madrid beckons

Chelsea decided against making a move for Franco Mastantuono from River Plate.

The talented midfielder who also plays as a forward is set to move to Real Madrid for £40m.

At only 17 years old, the future is uncertain but his potential and progress has been tracked by top clubs.

Fabrizio Romano on YouTube stated that Chelsea were amongst those clubs but, preferred to not get into concrete talks due to Cole Palmer and Estevao.

Franco plays as a number ten and on the right and Chelsea felt that Palmer was a similar profile, as well as Estevao.

It remains to be seen if Chelsea regret not making a move, but one thing is for certain, if Estevao Willian hits even half his potential, they will be just fine.
