Chelsea are interested in Villarreal defender Pau Torres.
The Telegraph says with news Blues defender Antonio Rudiger is set to join Real Madrid this summer, it seems certain the Spain star would have to fill the void left by the versatile German in the Blues backline.
Torres would be the stand-out option as Rudiger’s successor, but add they are likely to face competition for his signature from Manchester United.
Any business by Chelsea in the transfer market will only be possible once sanctions are lifted following the arrival of new owners.
Torres is in England this week for Villarreal’s Champions League semifinal first-leg at Liverpool.
Pau Torres is attracting interest from top clubs again as his release clause will be valid this summer: €55/60m, available until the end of the market. 🟡🇪🇸 #transfers
