Chelsea are leading the race to sign Bournemouth centre back Dean Huijsen, according to The Telegraph.

Chelsea are thought to be ahead of several suitors such as Liverpool and Arsenal.

Huijsen is one of the most talented centre backs in the world and has set the league alight this season with a mixture of his defensive and ball playing abilities.

The Spaniard, born in the Netherlands, has a £50m release clause and Chelsea want him to be signed ahead of the club world cup in the middle of June.

Huijsen’s signature would put doubt into several of Chelsea defenders including Trevoh Chalobah and Axel Disasi.
