Chelsea have made an approach for AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan.

Chelsea see a good opportunity as Maignan has one year left on his contract.

Maignan, 29, is on low wages at Milan despite being a renowned world class keeper, which could be advantageous to Chelsea.

Talks are at an advanced stage already and it is expected that Chelsea will bid within the next few hours.
