Oscar and David Luiz have been named in Brazil’s squad, Mikkel and Kenneth Omeruo for Nigeria and Torres, Mata and Azpilicueta have also been named in a provisional squad for the Confederations Cup
Torres returns to the successful Spanish squad after missing out on action due to a dip in club form. However after helping Chelsea throughout the Europa league campaign, the FA cup and eventually securing a third place finish, Vincente del Bosque saw it fit to include the Spanish superstar in his 26 man provisional squad. After the round of La Liga this weekend this squad will be reduced to 23. Mata and Azpilicueta also return to the squad after being included in the March action.
Mikkel and Kenneth Omeruo are also called up for Nigeria after their country won the Africa Cup of Nations. They play Mexico, Kenya and Namibia in preparation for the competition.
Brazil’s Oscar and David Luiz take on England and France before heading home to attempt to win the tournament in front of their home crowd.
Spain plays friendlies against Haiti and the Republic of Ireland in the United States.
In other international news, many players have been called up for their countries even though they are not participating in the Cup.
