Chelsea are showing admiration for Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap, according to David Ornstein.
David reports this morning in an early piece looking at 2025 potential transfers that Chelsea are admirers of Delap, who has started this season well at Ipswich.
Delap is the type of striker that would fit well into the Clearlake strategy being young and on affordable wages.
Chelsea are looking at around 5-10 strikers for next summer but Delap has the added bonus of already working with Maresca and Lavia at Manchester City’s academy.
Nicolas Jackson is being backed as Chelsea’s number one but Delap is a player that would give Chelsea a different profile, being more of a box dominator and pure striker than Jackson.
