Chelsea have triggered Liam Delap’s £30m release clause.

Delap has been deciding who to join over the last few days but media reports now reveal he has chosen Chelsea.

The likes of David Ornstein, Ben Jacobs and Fabrizio Romano have revealed that Chelsea is his preferred destination and the deal will be wrapped up soon.

Delap scored 12 goals in the Premier League this season, including one against Chelsea , and is set for a medical at Stamford Bridge in the next 48 hours.
