Cole Palmer is set for a big role in the upcoming England squad and beyond, according to a report from The Telegraph.
Chelsea and Football writer Matt Law writes that interim manager Lee Carsley, who is likely to be handed the permanent role should results continue, is set to hand Cole Palmer a key role in his team.
Palmer was historically ignored by Gareth Southgate for most of the European Championships but in the final defeat against Spain, he scored the equaliser off the bench.
Now, it seems that his consistency at club level will be rewarded with Carsley an admirer from their time together with the England U21’s.
