Chelsea are to sign 17-year-old Chilean Cristian Cuevas from O’Higgins in the summer. The promising midfielder last week held talks with the London club and will join after the U20 World Cup in July.
‘Everything went quickly and was resolved within a week,’ Cuevas said.

Cuevas went onto add :
‘I am already taking English classes so I can integrate quickly. It will be a big change. I could account for all the differences there were when I was there. But I am calm and very happy.’
Cuevas scored twice in the South American Youth Championships in Argentina earlier this year, helping to convince the Blues of his ability to adapt to a big stage, as Chile finished fourth in the tournament, after topping Group A.
The Blues have also told Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeru, 19, currently on loan at Dutch club Den Haag, that he will be in the Blues first team squad next season.
