David Luiz claims that he turned down a move to Barcelona during the summer transfer window because he is happy to stay at Chelsea.

“Barça made an official offer, I confirm. But I wanted Chelsea. It’s a personal decision. I wanted Chelsea. I am happy to play for a big club and be in the national team to represent my country.”

Barca eventually turned their attentions to Liverpool centre-back Daniel Agger after negotiations with Chelsea, but were shot down on that front as well.
Coach Gerardo Martino eventually declared himself “happy with the team I have” and no defender made the move to Camp Nou.
I’m absolutely delighted to hear this from David Luiz himself as these rumours were lingering on for way too long and David Luiz crushed them in some manner.
