Kevin De Bruyne was dropped from match-day squad against Steaua Bucharest, following his not-so-good show against Swindon Town, resulting in a “Kevin Is Now In The Bad Books of Mourinho” campaign from the press.
The media was abuzz with speculations that come January, De Bruyne might have to find a new home for himself, with a number of interested Bundesliga clubs like Wolfsberg and Werder Bremen.
De Bruyne put all those doubts to rest with his words. Here’s what he told Sky Sports during the international break:
Am I panicking? Of course not. Honestly, I’m not worried. You seem to be more worried than me.
Mourinho is the boss and he decides who plays. He tells me when I’ve done something wrong, but I’ve heard nothing as negative from him as what I’ve been reading in the media.
I chose to stay (instead of going on loan) and I have no regrets. I continue to fight hard. My chance will come.
I’m really not concerned about finding a solution in January. That we will have to see.
Thanks for clearing the air Kevin! Now work hard & get back into the squad soon.
There is a lot of players at Man-u that dosnt play but yet the british media focus only on Chelsea, Kagawa is not playing but they dont seem to notic that, i am glad about De- Bruyne comments so that the media will go to bed
pep will find it difficult when thiago and gotze fully recover from their injuries and it is quite evident that none of them will start every match. yet pep will not receive this kind of stick for his selections.
the media should ask moyes why chicarito, kagawa, zaha ar’nt playing every match.please cfc fans & management should ignore their antics & focus on wrestling the epl title from man.u come may.
Stop wasting that PLAYER time
