Di Matteo ready to face Chelsea in UCL second-Leg Clash.

Roberto Di Matteo, the manager who helped Chelsea to Champions League glory two years ago, has taken over at German outfit Schalke.

He replaces Jens Keller, who parted ways with the club after an indifferent start in the Bundesliga this season, having won only twice in seven games. Di Matteo has not been with a club since he was sacked by Chelsea two years ago, just a few months after he guided them to a Champions League and FA Cup double.

He will get the chance to face Chelsea, where he also spent six years as a player, when they make the trip to Germany to face Schalke in the Champions League group stages.

We respect RDM for what he did for us during his time as a player and as a manager, and I hope the travelling fans we express our honour at his home ground. We are to give the best welcome when he come to the Bridge.

We know his tactis very well when it comes to knockout games and we are to prepare for that he was a defender and he defends very well but we hope for the best. We wish him the best of luck in his managerial post but not in matches againist us.

Sadly, he won’t be coming to the bridge… Schalke’s match at the Bridge is already over. But it will still be great to see him. I hope the fans cheer at 16th minute like how they cheered after he was sacked.
