Do we really need Jose Mourinho?

For your record, I’m Jose Mourinho fan, I want him here at Stamford Bridge. But there are some points I want to discuss about his Chelsea return.
There is no doubt about Jose’s managerial ability. He is one of the best managers in last decade. These are some of the trophies The Special One has one in his managerial career :
For FC Porto; Primeira Liga (2): 2002/03, 2003/04, Taca de Portugal: 2002/03, UEFA Cup: 2002/03, UEFA Champions League: 2003/04
For Chelsea FC; Premier League (2): 2004/05, 2005/06, FA Cup: 2006/07, League Cup: 2004/05, 2006/07, Community Shield: 2005
For Internazionale Milan; Serie A: 2008/09, 2009/10, Coppa Italy: 2009/10, Super Italy: 2008, UEFA Champions League: 2009/10
For CF Real Madrid; La Liga: 2011/12, Copa Del Rey: 2010/11, Super Spain: 20012
And he has won many individual awards include FIFA Coach of The Year 2010
Hold best winning percentage in Primeira Liga (FC Porto) with 72,58%, in Premier League (Chelsea FC) with 67,03%, and La Liga (Real Madrid) with 72,16%. And most points in a season in Premier League (Chelsea FC) with 95 points, and La Liga (Real Madrid) with 100 points.
“Please don’t call me arrogant, but I’m European Champion and I think I’m The Special One”
According to his managerial record, it might be silly not wanting him returning to Chelsea. But there are some negative things about this Special One I want to discuss;
Short Term
We all know Jose Mourinho is a type of manager than won’t be at one club for long time. He won trophies, but after his moving, he left big mess in club. Have a look to Inter Milan when he left, and Real Madrid now.
Long term manager is absolutely needed if a club want to take over the world and make an era of that club. Sir Alex Ferguson, Pep Guardiola, Jürgen Klopp, they didn’t make an era instantly. Mou wouldn’t stay at one club for more than 3 or 4 years. And a short-term managers don’t care to what will happen to the club after he leaves.

Youth Policy
This one is main concern of Chelsea now, “regeneration”. Also is the reason why we signed AVB last season. The rumours said Abramovich was tired to spend millions pounds for +27 years old footballers at their peak, and have to spend again for couple of years. So we sign youth players with potentiality to be world-class. Hazard brothers, Oscar, Marin, Moses, Christensen, and many more.
Jose Mourinho is known not good at using young players of the club. And his return will murder some of our youth future here. Though it’s arguable that Jose will promote youth if he is good enough like what he did to Varane. But we have too many potentials in our loaned players and academy to waste.
Kevin De Bruyne, Josh McEachran, Lucas Piazon, Nathan Akè, Thomas Kalas, Sam Hutchinson, Romelu Lukaku, Courtois, Thorgan Hazard, Omeruo, Kakuta, Aanvolt. These are some of our youngsters which possibly half of them won’t get into our first squad if Jose comes. AND with the money we will spend in transfer window, it will he getting harder for our youngsters to chase their dream, playing for Chelsea first team.
We tried to make long-term managing by hiring AVB. Then he made a significant change by starting youngster. Of course we weren’t very good that time. And the fans were losing their patience, they asked the board to sack AVB. The senior players even moaned for being benched and ask the same thing to the board. Finally, AVB was sacked, and RDM took over as interim. I can’t say it was a bad decision, because we won FA Cup and UCL double last season. But we had to face it again, didn’t us? RDM was sacked and Benitez was appointed for Interim Manager. And now we have to face it AGAIN after Benitez contract over.
New Manager = New tactic = Time for players to adapt

This is what I’m always saying in case of our unstable managerial. Players have to adapt for new tactic, new strategy, new formation, new training, every time new manager takes over. And it was, is, and will be not easy for our players, ever.
“I’d rather having many managers and win trophies, than having one manager but win nothing” This is more and less quote by Juan Mata when he was asked by press
Totally agree with Juan Mata, but having many managers doesn’t mean you will win more trophies. Our board, players, and fans’ hunger of trophies is the main reason of this unstable managerial.
If we keep thinking to win trophies every season instantly with spending money on transfer window, buying big players, hiring short-term manager who has won many trophies, there is no way our youth and academy can improve.
The good news, this is the first time Jose Mourinho returning to the team he has manager before. And I hope he can change his mind, stay here for long time, build an era of Chelsea under him, and promote our youngsters. Though, it’s unlikely if we look to the past.
I just want to make you all, the readers, considering this and hope you understand my points. Do we really need Jose Mourinho? -Crissandy
