Who’s Salah ?
Mohamed Salah is a 21 years old rising Egyptian talent who plays as a false nine or a winger for FC Basel and the Egyptian National team. Salah impressed during the Europa League last season, noticeably scoring a goal against both Chelsea and Tottenham. He has 1 goal in 7 appearances in the Super League (2013/2014) and 3 goals in only 4 appearances (321 minutes) in the Champions league this season.
He has already got several offers from Tottenham, some Bundesliga clubs and Inter Milan but decided to stay at Basel, which it’s believed to be his last season with the Swiss club.
He also won Africa’s most promised African talent last year.
Salah scored in every single group match during the London Olympics last year including a goal against Brazil. He made his National Team debut at 19 years old of age, scoring 14 goals in 22 international appearances. He is the top scorer under the former US and current Egypt National team manager Bob Bradley.
Mohamed Salah is known as the “Egyptian Messi” and was one of the standout footballers in the 2012 summer Olympics.

Why should we keep an eye on him ?
Salah is a technical dribbler who can cause our defense some mess and he’s extremely fast too. I still remember the way he toyed with Gareth Bale during the Europa League game last season. Here’s a quick reminder of that piece of skill:

In the Champions League, Salah scored a brace, assisted the third and was fouled and awarded a penalty for the fourth against PFC Ludogorets Razgrad, which ended 4-2.

When we played Basel in the Europa league, David Luiz was deployed as a DM so he was able to track Salah’s runs, but if we play with a Ramires-Lampard pivot, then he’ll definitely cause us tons of problems.
