Reports From Turkey insist Turkish Giants, Galatasaray will try to tempt John Terry away from Chelsea with a multi-million pound 3years deal.
The Turkish champions have stepped up their interest in Terry this week, determined to satisfy new manager Roberto Mancini’s request for defensive reinforcements.
John Terry is out of contract at the end of the season and legally allowed to open talks with any overseas clubs from January 1.
Galatasaray are understood to be constructing a deal for the 32yrs-old worth £3.2M a year after tax, for 2yrs,with the option of a 3rd.
There would also be an attractive bonus package built in, particularly with performance related incentives for success in the Champions League.
When these bonuses & tax break is taken into consideration, this offer is competitive alongside the £8M-a-year deal Terry is thought to earn at Stamford Bridge.
The Turks appear to be serious and it is impossible to question the ambition of a club that has already lured Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneijder to Istanbul and appointed Mancini on a 3yrs contract worth more than £10M.
They have deployed the London-based agent Muzzi Ozcan, who led the swoop for former Man City manager Mancini when Fatih Terim was sacked in September.
